Excelsior is a project for a new collection of coffee and tea cups. As Lin Yutang wrote in The Importance of Living: “There is something in the nature of tea that leads us into a world of quiet contemplation of life.” Through design we can rediscover the profound meaning behind certain moments and gestures. Taking a break means rewarding yourself with something joyful. Symbolically, the idea of a gift is evoked through the image of a ribbon, because every surprise deserves a special bow.
